United Way issues call for projects for Nancy Perry Day of Caring

TOPEKA, KAN. (July 19, 2013) — United Way of Greater Topeka’s Nancy Perry Day of Caring is set for Sept. 13, 2013. Non-profit organizations are invited to submit potential projects to be completed by community volunteers. Last year more than 1,300 volunteers completed 80 projects for 40 non-profit organizations in our community.

“We are hoping for more than 80 projects again this year,” said Ellen Rislove, United Way director of volunteer engagement and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. “This day of volunteerism has a huge impact on community programs and the beneficiaries of the work are sincerely grateful.”

The Nancy Perry Day of Caring is made possible through the generous support of Platinum Sponsor Security Benefit and Gold Sponsor Capitol Federal. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

To submit a project, complete and submit the Nancy Perry Day of Caring Project Form on the United Way of Greater Topeka website. For more information or to be a sponsor, email dayofcaring@unitedwaytopeka.org.
