Each year on June 21, communities around the world come together to harness the volunteer spirit and improve the conditions in which they live.
Now in its seventh year, United Way Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations around the world to LIVE UNITED and take action to address a variety of challenges. It is a day we ask you to help us put our mission into action by improving the building blocks for a good quality of life – education, financial stability, and health. This year’s Day of Action falls on Sunday, June 21. We are asking for gently used or new preschool to 5th grade books. Books collected on the Day of Action will be given to the organization Raise Kansas where they will distribute all donated books to summer feeding sites so children can be read to by volunteers and have the opportunity to take books home.
