Consider that obesity contributes to heart disease, cancer, stroke and high blood pressure and that obese adults cost $1,400 more per year in medical care than non-obese adults. In Northeast Kansas 31.2 percent of adults are considered obese.

- Promote and support affordable healthy food and beverage choices
- Facilitate, support, and encourage increased physical activity
