United Way of Greater Topeka is proud and excited to announce our 2015 Campaign Leadership team! Campaign Chair Dr. Martin Stessman gets to use the experience he gained as last year’s vice chair to lead the workplace campaign charge this year. Dr. Stessman is the Superintendent of the Shawnee Heights School District, home to our most amazing student giving campaign at Tecumseh North Elementary.
Jake Schmidtlein has signed on as the 2015 vice chair. Jake works for Strathman Sales and has agreed to join the volunteer effort at United Way after several successful years on the Board of Directors for the local Ronald McDonald House.
As chair, Dr. Stessman heads our Campaign Leadership Committee (CLC). The CLC is composed of volunteers from the business community who help United Way form deeper and more mutually meaningful relationships with companies like yours. Throughout the spring the CLC help United Way staff reach out to local business leaders to learn their aspirations for a stronger community. The purpose of these conversations is to more fully align our two organizations and help companies meet their goals for employee engagement in our community, including educating about the work of United Way, volunteerism, the workplace campaign, and other ways that benefit both your company and United Way
