What if every child had five years of education before kindergarten? The reality is that children are learning constantly, right from birth. A Born Learning Trail is an engaging path of age-appropriate activities aimed at helping parents and caregivers create learning opportunities for young children. Through a series of stations, children are encouraged to get active and have fun with games that are designed to boost critical language, literacy and motor skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten. Born Learning Trails are being built at parks, museums, libraries, and corporate campuses country-wide. The trails help develop pre-literacy skills critical to school readiness through outdoor learning games and help parents learn to use everyday experiences as learning opportunities.
