United Way is working to create positive, sustainable change in our community. We offer volunteer opportunities ranging from serving on councils and committees to determine how we invest donors’ money back into the community to volunteering for our Day of Caring to year-round corporate volunteer engagement.

Community Impact Councils  Our work focuses on key issues in our community as identified by Community Impact Councils. These councils work to identify issues and set goals and strategies in the areas of Education, Financial Stability and Health. Learn more about these councils and how to get involved here.

Councils, Panels, & Committees

  • Investment Panels – The investments we make back into the community are directed by panels of community volunteers who review competitive grant proposals and renewals to ensure all investments are bringing about the greatest level of positive change possible. More information can be found here.
  • United Way Committees – Volunteer committees are at the heart of guiding how our organization operates, sets a course for the future, and works toward a better community. More information about committees can be found here.
