The April 14, 2020, Topeka Volunteers expo at Fairlawn Plaza has been postponed.
We regret that the current COVID-19 outbreak and the related need to practice social distancing has forced us to postpone our Topeka Volunteers event. However, the need for volunteers in this time of crisis is great. If you have the ability and desire to respond, please visit the COVID-19 needs cluster on TopekaVolunteers.org.

VOLUNTEERING AT UNITED WAY
Want to volunteer at United Way on a regular basis? We have councils and committees to determine how we invest donors’ money back into the community, and we have special committees for volunteering, communications, finance and resource development.
Community Impact Councils Our work focuses on key issues in our community as identified by Community Impact Councils. These councils work to identify issues and set goals and strategies in the areas of Education, Financial Stability and Health. Learn more about these councils and how to get involved here.
Councils, Panels, & Committees
- Investment Panels – The investments we make back into the community are directed by panels of community volunteers who review competitive grant proposals and renewals to ensure all investments are bringing about the greatest level of positive change possible. More information can be found here.
- United Way Committees – Volunteer committees are at the heart of guiding how our organization operates, sets a course for the future, and works toward a better community. More information about committees can be found here.
